These creative places are part of a powerful European and global network of over [1800 FabLabs](https://fablabbcn.org/) in 100 countries, open to citizens, makers, entrepreneurs and companies to transform ideas in prototypes and products while exploring the boundaries between craft, technology, society and sustainability. Brunello Cuccinelli brand located in Solomeo, a small 14th century medieval village near Assisi in Italy, is about excellence in product quality and the balance between profit and giving back. The brand is mainly based on the Made in Italy philosophy and on the artisanal skills of the territory. The founder describes his business as part of a “Humanistic Capitalism” and refers to his employees as “Industrial Artisans.“ >“[...], I decided that the dream of my life would be to live and work for the moral and economic dignity of the human being. I wanted a company that made healthy profits, but did so with ethics, dignity and morals; we are listed on the stock exchange, I wanted a company that had a balanced and gracious growth. I wanted human beings to work in slightly better places, earn a little more in wages and feel like thinking souls at work.” (Cucinelli, 2021) **![[Attachments/a69f9acb861cc3c2f1d090aaee39f038_MD5.jpg]] ### References Craft and Made in Italy: value of the past and potential for the future – CraftHub European Project.
