UNESCO’s most recent report on the creative economy highlights the craft sector as over half of all cultural and creative productivity (2013). This takes the form of handcrafted goods that make use of media such as glass, textiles, woods, metal, clay, paper, or ceramics. In terms of global economic output, it is estimated that the cultural and creative economy constitutes over 5% of global GDP (Buitrago Restrepo and Duque Márquez 2013). Now popularly referred to as the “Orange Economy,” Henry, C. 2007. *Entrepreneurship in the Creative Industries: An International Perspective*. London: Edward Elgar Press.
