> The Korean word for creatively engaging in the necessities of life.
### Highlights
Jitda (짓다, “to build” or “to craft”) in Korean refers to the creative act of engaging in activities related to the necessities of life such as making clothes, cooking food, and constructing houses.
The meaning of 'jitda' (to build or make) in Korean has many implications. Not only do we say that we make clothes, cook meals and build houses, but we also say that we make medicine, make poetry, and connect relationships.
In this way, 'Jitda' is a verb with many meanings. I wanted to replace the meaning of 'jitda' with crafting. I think that 'crafting' is not only related to food, clothing, and shelter, but also the connection and communication between nature, human, and objects, as well as creating all the languages and images in the world.
