> Monica Boța-Moisin is a Romanian cultural intellectual property and fashion lawyer working at the intersection of law, fashion and the protection of traditional knowledge and cultural expressions. A member of the Bucharest and Berlin bars, she coined the term "cultural intellectual property rights" and is the founder of the Cultural Intellectual Property Rights Initiative (CIPRI) and co-founder of the artisan-designer platform WhyWeCraft. She is best known for her 3 Cs Rule, Consent, Credit and Compensation, a framework for fair dealings between the creative industries and the communities whose traditions they draw on. An Ashoka Fellow who speaks five languages, her advocacy began with a campaign to protect the Romanian Blouse and reached a wide audience through her TEDx talk on transforming fashion from villain to hero.
