> Monica Monaia is a ceramicist and freelance writer, working between Cape Town (South Africa) and Città di Castello (Italy). Her practice is influenced by her Italian, Ethiopian and Eritrean heritage. With a degree in Theology at the Pontifical Lateran University in Assisi - Italy, she writes about identity, social justice and the role of art and craft in shaping cultural narratives. She currently serves as project manager of Tazzinart, an itinerant ceramics exhibition connecting artists from Italy, South Africa, and beyond.
