Realist painting readily celebrates the vigour of the national ideal, especially in the figure of the leader. There are more cases where craft is used to promote peace between peoples. See [[Claim - Craft can foster cultural tolerance]] ### Concession There may be some cases where craft is used for conservative ends. It is important in these cases that the makers themselves be given a voice. Their work should not be co-opted for causes they do not actively support.
